For the first time, Vairamuthu’s two sons—Madhan Karky and Kabilan have responded to the #MeToo allegations against their dad.

Madhan Karky took to his Twitter page to share the song ‘Unmai Oru Naal Vellum’ (Truth will win some someday), the song written by his dad Vairamuthu in Rajinikanth's Lingaa to hint that the justice will prevail.

Kabilan wrote a long statement recalling how Vairamuthu is being celebrated as the iconic figure of Tamil language, his dad’s struggle as a kid and how his parents lived in a house without a fan.

“The ongoing trend of women blaming men and vice versa without proof is dangerous. India’s biggest strength is its family architecture and it saved us to an extent during the global financial crisis. The western influence is slowly destroying our family setup. A few say that there is a political agenda behind the allegations against my dad and others say there is no such agenda. My point is that let the justice prevail through legal proceedings. The whole issue has been made as a mega entertainment and it diverts us from many other important issues in the country”, said Kabilan in his statement.
