In Tamil Nadu, playback singer and voice artist Chinmayi’s sexual harassment allegations against Vairamuthu gets stronger and stronger.

In his recent video message, Vairamuthu said that he has enough evidence to say that all the allegations are false and he is discussing the ongoing incident with legal experts. The National Award winning lyricist said that truth will come out soon.

Responding to Vairamuthu’s video message, Chinmayi said that she is ready for lie detector test and challenged Vairamuthu to do the same to prove his innocence.

“Mr. Vairamuthu should take a lie detector test. Enough said”, tweeted Chinmayi. Another musician named Sindhuja has also supported Chinmayi and said that Vairamuthu came after her too.

Meanwhile, Tamil Film Producers Council’s President and Nadigar Sangam General Secretary Vishal has reacted to the #MeToo movement. Vishal said that he will be soon forming a committee to deal with the sexual harassment charges in the film industry. Vishal requested women in the film industry to reach the committee or representatives of film bodies as soon as such incidents happen. “I respect Chinmayi, Tanushree Dutta and all other women who are vocal about the things which happened to them but I request all of them to reach us as soon as the crime happens because only then, we can find a solution. Once Amala Paul called and informed us about one such incident, we helped her”, said Vishal.
