Multi-faceted director, actor, screenwriter, and talk-show host Visu (74) passed away today(March 22) in Chennai due to age-related ailments.
Known for his satirical take on family issues in the '80s Tamil cinema, some of his memorable works are Rajinikanth's Netrikann, Kamal Haasan's Simla Special, Samsaram Athu Minsaram, and Manal Kayiru.
Later, Visu also started a talk show named Aratai Arangam on Sun TV which was a huge hit in the 90s. Visu continued the same show with a different name Visuvin Makkal Arangam on Jaya TV.
As an actor, Visu's roles in films like Rajinikanth's Uzhaippali, Arunachalam, and Mannan recieved well among the audiences. Recently, Visu hit the headlines after openly saying that he would sue Dhanush if he acts in the remake of Netrikann without getting his consent. However, Dhanush clarified that he has no plans to act in the remake.
