We get a taste of Dench’s aged-Monarch snark, and we can’t help but throw our hands up in the air with an ‘Oh, Slam!’ But what we love more is Ali Fazal’s presence by her side in the titular role of Abdul.
An adaptation of Shrabani Basu’s book of the same name, we get a first-hand account of the woman who ran the Empire in the final years of her reign. But what the sneak-peek of this upcoming film has done, is stirred our appetite for more tales of British royalty.
