The audio launch events of Vijay's films are known for large gatherings, celebrations, and pompous arrangements but the Master audio launch was a low-key affair that included the cast and crew along with their extended families attended the event.

"Many fans have expressed their disappointment as they couldn't attend the audio launch. I agreed to this event half-heartedly. We restricted the number of attendees due to the unpleasant things that happened at the previous launch event and the ongoing health issues (coronavirus)", said Vijay.

Earlier, the actor's mom requested a hug from his son and Vijay readily agreed, it was a cute moment on the stage. When anchor RJ Vijay asked about his dapper look, the actor said: "My costumer Pallavi Singh said that my routine costumes look boring at the launch events and gave me this new makeover. I also thought of dressing like my friend Ajith. Hope it suits me (smiles)?"

Vijay looked dapper in the black tuxedo with salt and pepper look. Talking about Lokesh Kanagaraj, Vijay said: "I was surprised at seeing Lokesh's journey, he worked in a bank, made short films, debuted as a director with a complex script like Maanagaram and then, made Kaithi. With Maanagaram, he grabbed our attention and made us to repeatedly watch his Kaithi. I don't know what he has done in Master, eagerly waiting to see the final output".

The actor also pulled Lokesh's legs as the filmmaker did not bring scene paper to the sets. "I was psychologically affected by seeing Lokesh's style (with a smile), he told me to act without the scene paper. "Sir, come here, do like this", I was like dei, do like what? Then, he came up with the scene paper every day. Being a short filmmaker, he has everything in mind and executes it. I'm sure he will grow big in the industry", added the actor.

"I don't know why Vijay Sethupathi accepted playing the villain in the film, he got a solid position in the industry as a leading star and his films do good business. He silenced me with a simple sentence "I like you, sir". I also love him as an actor and dear friend, thank you", said Vijay.

Talking about Malavika and Andrea, Vijay said: "Malavika has the Tamil look, all she should is learn Tamil, a good place awaits in the industry for her. Andrea is very selective when it comes to picking films, she plays a good character in Master. I request her to do more films in the future. I'm waiting for Shantanu's big break in the industry, glad you are a part of this film".

Heaping praise on Anirudh, the actor said that the composer is getting sharper with every film. When the anchor asked Thalapathy Vijay to rewind his life twenty years back and ask something to the Ilayathalapathy, the actor said: "Life was so much peaceful twenty years back without IT raids. But even now, it's fun".

Of course, there were a few catchy punchlines against his haters including "Kill them with your success, bury them with your smile. The actor also narrated a Kutti story: "Our life should be like a river. A few would welcome us with flowers, a few would greet us by lighting lamps and others would throw stones but our journey must continue".

Vijay also thanked producer Xavier Britto, appreciated his long time associates Jagadish and Lalit Kumar who are now promoted as co-producers with the film.

Before commencing his speech, Vijay danced along with Shanthanu and Anirudh on stage, which is a rarity for a lead actor in Tamil cinema.
