A low-budget horror film would terrify viewers in 1981 and go on to become one of the most loved horror films of all time. The film was called The Evil Dead and the director Sam Raimi would make two sequels which became equally popular, called Evil Dead II and the Army of Darkness.
More than thirty years later, the series returns to the big screen in the form of a remake called Evil Dead. Produced by Sam Raimi, the film is directed by Fede Alvarez and features a new cast led by Jane Levy, star of the TV series Suburgatory.
Calling itself 'The Most Terrifying Film You Will Ever Experience', Evil Dead has raised expectations from fans who will not be satisfied with anything less scarier than the original film. Can this new Evil Dead terrify audiences like the original did? Let's wait and find out.
