Before 2009, Shashi Tharoor was a famous UN diplomat and writer. He almost made Secretary UN General and was a famous columnist with hits like the famous satirical The Great Indian Novel.
However after he entered the murky world of Indian politics, he has been involved in one controversy after another. It’s a non-stop affair.

1. The Outsider: A lot of Kerala Congressmen complained that he was parachuted straight from the top and given a Lok Sabha ticket in 2009. Not only did he win, but in the very next year he became a central minister.
He has been consistently attacked on that ground and when he was recently sacked as party spokesperson, the complaint came straight from the Kerala Congress.
