Accusing the Central government of indulging in corruption, inflation and nepotism in public life, senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Murli Manohar Joshi has alleged that the Congress-led UPA Government ' is befooling people with their cheap political tactics and trying to divert the key issues from mainstream topics'.

Joshi said the UPA Government has lost the moral right to govern this country.

"By making excuses that they are keeping communal forces at bay the government is actually shielding corruption. They are trying to divert public attention by increasing high inflationary prices and befooling it," he added.

Joshi further said that the rampant corruption has slowed down the country's economy.

"Over the past one year, the repeated exposures of new scams of multifaceted nature has astonished the common man. Inflationary prices are soaring and economic condition of the country is getting worse," said Joshi.

Echoing similar sentiment, BJP spokesperson Rajiv Pratap Rudy has lambasted Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for allowing what he called 'massive graft in the democratic system'.

"The Prime Minister who allowed massive graft to take place in the country if he tries to come up with a new debate then he has no credibility. Therefore the BJP has been demanding the resignation of the Prime Minister since the beginning and we continue to do ," Rudy told media in Panaji.

The UPA Government has been under the scanner for alleged scams beginning from the Commonwealth Games, 2G scam and coalgate, latest being the alleged links between Congress President Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law Robert Vadra and realty major DLF. (ANI)
