New Delhi: Just a day after, high-level teams were sent to Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Manipur to take steps to battle the novel coronavirus, the centre is now planning to send high-level teams to other states that have witnessed a spike in coronavirus cases.
Five states that have recorded the peak number of cases in the last 24 hours are: Delhi, Kerala, Maharashtra, West Bengal and Rajasthan.
This comes on the day when India has reported 90 lakh or nine million cases of Covid. The country, world's second-worst-hit, has now also registered more than 1.32 lakh deaths from the disease, according to the latest official figures from the Union Health Ministry.
The centre has advised to increase the testing to track those who may have been undetected or missed out.
These five states are also asked to go for an aggressive method of testing to discover these unidentified cases.
