RJD emerges as the single largest party in Bihar elections!
In a nail-biting finish, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has officially won the Bihar elections with the Election Commission website declaring its win after they crossed the half way mark of 122. The alliance won all the 125 seats it was leading in, with BJP winning 74 seats, and JD(U) securing win in 43 seats.
The Tejashwi Yadav-lead RJD was the single largest party with 75 seats. Other Mahagathbandhan constituents' tallies were as follows: Congress (19), CPI (2), CPM (2), CPI M-L (12). NDA may have secured the requisite seats but it is RJD that fought the hardest battles.
The latest EC data shows that the crowds in Tejashwi Yadav's rallies did turn into votes but not enough to cinch the required number of seats.
