Vague cocktail of woman empowerment & hypocrisy

Exhibit A: The fashion industry
This
industry is quite notorious for its treatment of female models. In some
cases girls as young as 13 enter it and are exposed to the stresses and
strains. The focus is on being thin and tall. That's it.
One American survey showed that despite being thin, about two-thirds models were told to lose weight.
The
same survey saw two-thirds of models saying that they suffered from
depression or anxiety.
It is an exploitative industry where the burn-out
rate is quite high. The standard of the fashion industry is artificial
and out of touch with the reality of the common woman.
