London: In her nearly six decades on the throne, Britain's Queen Elizabeth II has received numerous gifts but none as unusual as the one proffered on Thursday when a racehorse breeder felt the monarch might like free horse sperm shot worth 8,615 dollars.
French woman Cristina Patino, owner of last year's Epsom Oaks winner Snow Fairy, offered for one of the Queen's mares the free services of her male horse Big Bad Bob, the Daily Express reported on Friday.
Big Bad Bob, an 11-year-old who fathered 14 winners, is based at the Irish National Stud, which the queen visited Thursday during her four-day State visit to Ireland.
She was shown around by stud chairwoman Lady O'Reilly, wife of business magnate Tony O'Reilly. Talking animatedly about her favourite hobby, the queen cast an expert eye over stallions at the stud.
