IPL franchises Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore
(RCB) share an intense on-field rivalry, which has certainly been
influenced by the socio-political history shared between the two states.
The two franchises have been a part of several exciting clashes over
the years.
In 2013, RCB seemed to have triumphed off the final
delivery following the dismissal of Ravindra Jadeja at third man
sparking celebrations, only for a 360 degree turnaround in emotions and
the eventual result after the umpire signaled a no-ball. Team India
skipper Virat Kohli was further involved in one such game after being
smashed for 28 runs in an over by Albie Morkel, with the equation
reading 43 runs off two overs before that.
Morkel's cameo turned
the momentum of the game completely in favour of the Super Kings who
emerged victorious, despite it being a bleak possibility at one
stage. This rivalry will certainly continue in the IPL auction 2020 set
to take place in less than two weeks, as the two franchises battle it
out for the services of some of the best in the game:
