The Indian mixed 4x400m relay team comprising of Muhammed Anas, V.K. Vismaya, Jisna Mathew and Noah Nirmal finished third and qualified for the final at the IAAF World Championships in Doha.
The quartet of Anas, Vismaya, Jisna and Nirmal Noah clocked 3 minutes 16.14 seconds to finish third in Heat 2.
With that result the Indian mixed 4x400m relay team qualified for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
The finalists (top 8) in relay races in the World Championships are automatic qualifiers for the Tokyo Olympics.
In the final on Sunday, although they clocked their Season's Best of 3:15:77 India could only finish 7th.
