The world of cricket has been hit hard by the coronavirus, which has caused widespread panic in each and every corner of the world. The year 2020 was earlier looked forward to with great excitement, due to the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) and the ICC T20 World Cup. This has certainly changed.
Most of the experts have written off chances of the two mega events taking place this year in the current circumstances, with the remaining citing a miracle as the only possible reason behind cricketing action this year. In such a situation, former cricketers Mohammad Azharuddin and Shoaib Akhtar have called for restructured cricket fixtures for a certain period of time.
