India beat England by 7 runs to clinch ODI series 2-1
A nail-biting finish brings an end to England's tour of India. The visitors lost the 4-match Test series by a margin of 3-1. Then the white-ball leg started and England played a good T20I series but still ended on the losing side this time by a margin of 3-2.
The last part of the tour was the ODIs and England almost had one hand on the trophy, coming inches closer to a series win in India since 1984!
However, it was not to be. India skipper Virat Kohli and Co. picked up the trophy, again.
"When the top two teams battle each other, we'll get exciting games. We expected it to be a challenging one, no one will throw in the towel, and Sam (Curran) played a really good innings to keep them in the hunt. However, our bowlers picked up wickets, and it moved from us finishing it off to them getting over the line before Hardik and Nattu pulled it back in the final overs."
-Virat Kohli, India skipper
Kohli completed 200 international matches as captain, joining MS Dhoni, Mohammad Azharuddin in the list and what a sweet victory it was at the end.
