Arjun Tendulkar, the son of India legend Sachin Tendulkar, raised speculations of joining Mumbai Indians after Cricketer Rahul Chahar shared a post from UAE in which the left-arm pacer is seen enjoying his 'rest day' with other MI players.
So, has Arjun Tendulkar joined MI?
No. Arjun hasn't joined the Mumbai Indians yet but he has travelled to UAE as a part of the net bowlers. Every IPL franchise has been carrying some net bowlers with them, and Arjun will be bowling to the MI's batsmen in the nets.
The 20-year-old has bowled against the Indian team on a couple of occasions and is a regular at MI's nets.
Unlike his father, Arjun is a left-arm pacer and can also make handy contributions with the bat.
Can MI sign Arjun in the future?
Yes, he can substitute a player if they opt-out of the tournament suddenly. He wasn't a part of the auction, but BCCI might allow the franchises to replace the set of players already in UAE, given the rules.
Arjun, who is yet to make it to the senior team, had represented India U-19 in 2018.
Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians will be playing against Chennai Super Kings on September 19.
