In the 2000s, MS Dhoni was one of the world's most attacking batsmen but the bowlers soon figured him out and he started getting out cheaply. Then he would come and play slow in the beginning no matter what and hit only if the situation required.
Dhoni is 36 and there is no way he can be the Dhoni of the 2000s, but he decided to attack from the front anyway. The result is for all to see from his explosive knocks: 79*(44), 70*(34), 51*(22), 43*(25) and 25*(12).
Dhoni averages 90 this season so far and who would have thought his decision to go youthful would be so successful!
