One down, one more to go. Nearly a year after her disappointment in the 2018 edition at Flushing Meadows, Serena Williams has made it to another title clash seeking her record 24th Grand Slam title.
For the 37 year-old it been 24 years on the circuit and being the last woman standing on the final day at majors has been a regular feature of her brilliant career.
For the six-time champion in New York, Saturday's clash will be her 10th final.
After going the family way, giving birth to daughter, Alexis Olympia, Serena has reached three major finals hoping to equal Margaret Court's all-time record of 24 titles.
"It's really good. I mean, to be in yet another final, it seems honestly crazy. But I don't really expect too much less."
Facing Williams will be Bianca Andreescu, the first Canadian woman to reach the US Open singles final.
