Australian skipper Aaron Finch was furious after being left high and dry with nowhere to go, following a misunderstanding with Steve Smith.
Finch uttered words of anger while walking past Smith without saying anything, after being left in a no-man's land costing the visitors a crucial wicket. The 33-year-old resembled a boiling teapot at that stage, as Smith dabbed the ball towards backward point before taking a few steps, saying no before continuing to run.
Finch responded to the call before his partner turned back without any warning. Finch was left high and dry with nowhere to go. Shreyas Iyer calmly collected the ball at mid-wicket, before passing the ball to Mohammed Shami who completed the formalities calmly.
The Team India fielders celebrated wildly with the Australian fans left annoyed at the confusion.
