Faf du Plessis led the way for Chennai Super Kings on the field, changing the game's complexion with two stunning catches at the boundary rope in the Indian Premier League Season 13 opening match defending champions Mumbai Indians.
Both the critical dismissals came during Ravindra Jadeja's final over. Jadeja, one of the two expensive bowlers and Lungi Ngidi, finished with 2 for 42 from his four overs. His first wicket was the well-set Saurabh Tiwary for 42.
A terrific catch, excellent presence of mind from du Plessis triggered the mini-collapse. Jadeja bowled a fuller one on middle and leg, Tiwary going for the hoick, looking for a maximum over wide long-on. And he would have got the same, but for the brilliant athleticism from du Plessis in the deep there. Faf jumped and kept the ball in the air within the play, hopped over the boundary line but returned to collect it.
The second one for the CSK left-arm spinner was the dangerous Hardik Pandya (14 off 10), who was in a swinging mood.

As if one catch was not enough, du Plessis took another stunner! This one certainly earned him a 10 on 10.
Man, again what a catch from Faf Du Plessis. What a rightly timed jump from him, he's such a brilliant fielder. Another one down for Mumbai Indians.— Mufaddal Vohra (@mufaddal_vohra) September 19, 2020
