The Black Caps were subjected to a series whitewash in the final T20I of the five-match series against India in Bay Oval, Mount Maunganui on Sunday, despite a 34-run onslaught in Shivam Dube's maiden over of the innings.
Dube was welcomed into the attack, with two consecutive sixes and a boundary as Tim Seifert smashed the ball over deep mid-wicket, deep square leg and into the fine leg fence.
The next delivery provided some respite as the Kiwis could only manage a single. However, relief was short-lived as Ross Taylor smashed a boundary and consecutive sixes off the remaining two deliveries, with an extra delivery made available due to a no-ball.
The Black Caps smashed 34 runs off the over, which is the second highest number of runs conceded in an over in T20Is. Here is a video of Dube's over:
English all-rounder Stuart Broad leads the list of bowlers to have conceded the most runs in an over in T20Is, after being smashed for six sixes by Yuvraj Singh in Durban, 2007. Former South African pacer Wayne Parnell, Izatullah Dawlatzai, Stuart Binny and Max O'Dowd who were respectively smashed for 32 runs apiece, are the other names on the list.
