Chasing 341, David Warner, who blasted a century in the first ODI in Wankhede, tried to score back-to-back boundaries off Mohammed Shami in the fourth over.
Something special was needed to dismiss a player in such form and Pandey's catch was just what the doctor ordered.
Pandey, included in the Playing XI for the second ODI after the 10-wicket thrashing in the opener, did not do a lot with the bat but this effort was outstanding to pluck the ball out of nowhere helping India to strike early. What a catch from Manish Pandey

After being hit for a boundary in the first ball of his second over, Shami bowled it short and outside off. Warner slapped it hard, but fails to keep it down. He must have felt he has got another boundary to his name. Pandey at cover-point, times his jump to perfection, stretches one hand upwards and takes it.
That’s the type of fielding effort we need to win this series! Just sublime! #INDvAUS #pandey pic.twitter.com/I2VbdULm8v
