Team India skipper Virat Kohli on Friday pulled off an excellent run-out accounting for the key dismissal of New Zealand batsman Colin Munro who seemed set on the pitch, providing his side with an inspirational moment while leading from the front.
Munro hit a full delivery from Shivam Dube through the covers, with Shardul Thakur picking up the ball and firing it towards Kohli at covers. The cricketer wasted no time catching the ball, before turning and firing it at the stumps at the keeper's end. Munro was left shell-shocked after being caught well short, having not expected the throw to come at his end. The batsman attempted to up his speed after watching Kohli turn, after jogging initially but to no avail. Here is a video of the moment of magic which Kohli gifted the world of cricket with his amazing fielding:
Team India are back in the game following Kohli's amazing effort with Yuzvendra Chahal dismissing Tom Bruce for a duck soon after, after posting a total of 166 on the board for the Black Caps.
