Dhoni will turn 38 in 2019, the year of the ODI World Cup. It is very doubtful that he will continue till then as captain cum wicket-keeper cum attacking batsman. There is an outside chance that he may last as a batsman though. That’s another strong reason for making Kohli the captain of the ODI team in 2016 itself for him to build for the future. We need to have a proper Mission 2019 and Kohli, not Dhoni, is the right man for the job.
